Children's Ministry Our children's ministry - Sunday School - takes place during the Sunday worship services. Children go to their classes after participating in the first part of the service. Aims To mentor children in Christian worship & discipleship To train children for participation in the worshiping life of the church Objectives To use small groups to encourage fellowship amongst the children To provide continuity of leadership and structure To teach scripture through stories, drama and conversation to broaden Bible knowledge To talk about relevant issues and situations to encourage children in their daily discipleship Classes We currently have three classes for 2 - 6's, 7 – 11’s and 11+ and a crèche for the under 2’s. Teaching We have two teaching teams that alternate so that the children have regular contact with familiar teachers AND the teachers have the opportunity to be refreshed regularly in the worship services. The teams meet quarterly to review and plan. We currently use our own materials based around a common theme. Outline of Class Sessions Each week we usually include the following. A time of all age worship when all Sunday School groups meet together. This is followed by age group work including scripture - using stories, drama, memory verses and games. Activity and Crafts – to reinforce scripture or story.
